You may or may not know, I got a shiny new lens, so I’ve been playing a lot with it, but in the bitter cold that Saskatchewan residents put up with, it’s not always easy to go out and take pretty pictures.. So I did what I could inside.. These are my totally fun new shoes I got the other day, shot with my brand new “nifty fifty” 🙂 (nickname for the 50mm lens for you non-camera folk!)
So, I really wanted to do this project this year, but I just don’t have the time. I’m a perfectionist, so I can’t just snap a picture and post it anymore!! I have to plan things out and go big, and I just can’t find the time already to keep up! So while I won’t be doing a 365 this year, I do promise to post random photo’s here and there, hopefully at least once a week. So many of you have told me you so look forward to what I come up with next! So I don’t want to completely let you down!
Anyway, I got a new lens, and this is one of my first photos with it.. many many more to come, and of course it’s Spy.. he just posed so nicely for me!
And January 6, I was happy to enjoy the white beach that is right in my backyard!! Winter is the best time to soak in the tub outside!
I know I am behind, but..only by 7 pictures! I have pictures from January 13-18 all ready to post, but I need to post them in order! Here are a couple from a while back. Once I get to those 7 days that I have ready, this blog will be photo bombed you could say. haha.

This is serious business this one. Spy is grateful that we have an extensive collection of his favorite toy. (I’m positive there are at least 3 more outside buried in the snow) And I am grateful that he waited patiently enough while I took this picture. (but try to imagine the “hurry up” whimpering sounds in the background) haha!
I know I know, I;m behind, but I’m not giving up. I’m catching up! Here is my day 3. I was extremely grateful that the final Christmas gift for my husband Nathan finally arrived. Better late than never! Anyone else into this show? If you are, you know what the hat means.

Every time I cook, I like to spice it up whenever possible! I’m grateful to have a husband who doesn’t complain one bit about the heat!
Well sorry about that folks, I came down with a serious cold, sore throat, weak in the knees kind of virus that kept me from caring about anything else but bed. But today I’m feeling much better, and NOW I will start my challenge but first you must know this year will be a little different..
I will be doing selfies, but in a different way. This year I will be posting something that I am grateful for every single day. My goal is not only to take a picture every day, but to also realize something to be grateful for in my life every day. So, here is my day one.
This is more than my dog. I love Oakley too, but Spy has done more for me than be our pet. More that I care to share in this post, but personal things in my life from the first day we brought him home, were made better just by the way he’s loved me, and been by my side when I needed him most.
I grateful for him in my life and that he enjoys such little things in life, like this poor toy he got on January 1, and mutilated in under 6 minutes.
